Responsibilities:
About the role
As an Auto Damage Claims Manager, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of the auto claims strategy and vision. You will define department-level goals that align with the overall claims objectives and ensure team culture and performance delivers the intended results. This role will have a high degree of change management/change leadership needs while working in a fast-paced environment. You will work collaboratively across several teams inside and outside of your department, including internal and external stakeholders, to achieve overall business results. This role will also initially lead front-line auto adjusters and will eventually evolve to leading front-line people leaders as the department grows. You will be accountable for developing employees through regular coaching and feedback to ensure the appropriate business results are being delivered. You will drive the execution of operational risk management, regulatory compliance training, policies, and procedures. This role will also provide you with the opportunity to relay your leadership and conflict management skills to guide employees as they walk customers through the claims process. Recognition and appreciation are top of mind for this position as it will require you to find ways to inspire the team to meet big objectives and to take the time to celebrate wins. You will be an advocate for your team on an individual level and as a whole, providing regular updates on the successes and challenges your team faces.

Experience

High School Diploma required

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

Minimum of 5 years of prior claims experience required

3+ years of prior customer service experience required

3+ years of prior management/leadership experience required

1+ years of 2nd level leadership experience (leading other leaders) preferred
Licenses
-
Current insurance adjuster licenses in all 50 states plus DC, or the ability to obtain them all within 90 days of hire required

Insurance designation (CPCU, SCLA, etc) preferred

Salary: The base salary range for this role is: USD $88,000.00 to $162,900.00. At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
