We are looking for a Pastry Prep Chef to join our talented team in the production of morning pastries and desserts at our Napa production location. Experience preparing toppings and filling for a variety of pastries including: pastry cream, lemon curd, ganache and different types of whipped creams is a big plus. Cake skills are also very valuable. Primarily looking for a team player with a can do attitude to join our crew. Willing to train the right person in all aspects if you have an eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
Shifts are Friday-Tuesday starting in the early AM, Part time for the right availability.
Skills
- Experience as a Pastry cook or similar role.
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment.
- Understanding of food safety practices.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
