Purchasing Manager – South Charlotte / Pineville Area
Chandler Commons LLC is a privately owned home builder located in the South Charlotte/Pineville area. Our focus is on the construction of residential neighborhoods, primarily build to rent. Our company is unique in that we are the developer and the builder, allowing much more flexibility from the beginning to the completion of our communities.
The Purchasing Manager's primary roll will be to obtain and control all the bids, estimates, budgets, Scopes of work, and all pertaining documentation for all aspects of construction throughout the project. Their duties would include, but not be limited to, locating suppliers, researching goods, services and materials and processing purchasing orders. The Purchasing Agent will work and negotiate with suppliers to purchase goods and services for Chandler Commons.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
- Interviewing vendors and visiting suppliers’ facilities to learn about products, services and pricing
- Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company
- Verifying purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products
- Interacting with subcontractors and suppliers to assure they maintain and Adhere to an aggressive schedule.
- Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
- Authorizing payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories
- Attend industry trade shows to learn about and stay current on trends and to meet suppliers

- 3+ years in residential construction industry
