Analyst opportunities are available in a variety of areas within the Finance Department, including: Accounting, Corporate Audit, Real Estate, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury and Planning and Analysis. Assignments are determined by business needs along with education, skill set and preferences.
The basic purpose of the job is to lead, manage and conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses on a variety of business issues in order to develop recommendations and strategies for management. These recommendations may involve marketing, operating, legal, supply operations, procurement, real estate, corporate, financial, accounting, and/or strategic issues. The position requires obtaining the cooperation or assistance of other departments or parties outside the railroad in the collection and understanding of data elements necessary to perform the analysis.
