Key Responsibilities:
- 40 billable hours per week.
- Construction experience is preferred.
- Provide accounting support on various projects/tasks.
- Ensure milestones and target dates are met.
- Perform special projects/requests, as required.
- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- M&A experience preferred.
Client Relations:
- Go-to resource for client questions.
- Maintain a steady relationship with clients.
- Respond to clients within a 24 hour time period.
Quality Control:
- Implement project methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee all designated Quality Control projects.
- Review all deliverables and confirm they are complete and correct before sending to clients.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- All projects should be “audit ready”.
Budgets:
- Manage project budgets.
- Ensure the budget is being met.
- Notify VP of Operations if a project is projected to go over budget that month.
- Notify VP of Operations if a project is projected to be significantly under budget that month.
Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with the VP of Operations regarding project progress, adjustments, and any potential changes in scope.
- Weekly Team meetings for project review.
Team Leadership:
- Manage, guide, and mentor Staff Accountants and Bookkeepers.
- Ensure the team's continuous development and training.
- Review and recommend improvements to financial processes and policies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
Team Morale:
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Support fellow Team members.
- Participate in Team activities.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and advancements in technology/software.
