The Director of Medical Radiography holds the primary responsibility for the academic leadership of the Medical Radiography Program, along with the management and supervision of both faculty and support staff. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of our medical radiography program, ensuring its alignment with the utmost standards of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develops Medical Radiography curriculum and guides development of equipment and supply requirements.
· Administers, coordinates, and supervises the Medical Radiography Program including residential faculty, students, and externship students.
· Coordinates externship training program
· Creates annual class start schedules.
· Organizes, administers, reviews, develops, and assures program effectiveness.
Conducts ongoing program assessment.
· Review of textbooks annually to determine validity and continuing usage of the textbooks.
· Review and update Medical Radiography curriculum to stay current with practices and procedures.
· Documents faculty, and clinical staff responsibilities and supports the fulfillment of the program’s mission and goals.
· Maintain and provide faculty with a monthly teaching schedule.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of master’s degree from an institution accredited and recognized by the U.S Secretary of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent in radiography
- Documentation of completion of a JRCERT accredited program in radiologic technology required.
- Holds appropriate state license or equivalent and registration in radiography.
· ARRT Certification (R)
· Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
· Current ARRT and CRT required.
· Current BLS American Heart Association preferred.
