POSITION PURPOSE:
The Accounting Clerk PART-TIME- Subsidy/Section 8 Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting for Subsidy/Section 8 unites at Maximus RE Partners, including but not limited to partnering with agencies (SFHA and other subsidy organization) and owning resident communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for maintaining and reconciling all subsidy accounts for Maximus RE Partners (update subsidy ledgers at least monthly)
- Own day-to-day communication with subsidy providers, residents and property (either verbally or via email, letter or fax) to reconcile customer accounts. Communications will involve requesting past due payments and clarifying charges, deductions, and payments.
- Perform accounting clerical duties such as filing, uploading, making collections phone calls and sending out past due correspondence
- Scan/Transmit all maintenance/inspection letters to Maintenance
- Track/Manage paperwork for new subsidy units (RTA’s, Lease, SFHA Contract) and work with other departments as needed to ensure compliance and timeliness to paperwork
- Manage process on “abated units” as needed
Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of Yardi and MS Outlook (including advanced Excel)
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, property teams, and other stakeholders.
