Salary:
- $17.50-$22.50/hr.
- Work year is established by the Board and Director of Maintenance and Facilities.
Hours Per Day:
- Day Shift – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Days Per Year:
- Full time – 12-month position.
- Options for flexible hours.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in the electrical field.
- Prefer 3 years of experience in electrical field.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds waist level and up to 60 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to use technology, such as computers, tablets, and other devices effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Journeyman or Master level license or the ability and willingness to work towards obtaining the license upon employment.
- District will provide an opportunity to obtain a commercial driver’s license with S and P endorsements. This is optional.
- Must have a positive attitude and ability to work with a team towards a common goal.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and extreme cold conditions to perform assigned duties.
- Must currently possess and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To: Director of Maintenance and Facilities
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all District electrical systems and components to ensure electrical service at each District location is operable at all times.
- Maintain and repair electronic equipment including intercoms, clocks, audio-visual, intrusion alarm systems, fire alarm systems, electronic lock systems, and other miscellaneous equipment.
- Maintain and repair custodial and kitchen equipment.
- Respond to alarm calls in all District buildings, accessing situation and determining necessary action, during and after regular school hours.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations after hours.
- Attend daily meetings regarding current work orders to help define completion of projects.
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of all lighting systems to include interior, exterior, and athletic field lighting systems.
- Ability to work using a bucket truck or personnel lift at estimated heights of over 80’ on field lighting.
- Provides assistance to other maintenance technicians to complete larger jobs outside of specific skilled trade, including but not limited to welding, electrical, mechanics, painting, plumbing, door hardware, fire alarms, electronic locks, access controls, roofing, HVAC systems, and cleaning.
- Perform other general maintenance work; servicing equipment, clearing snow and ice, grounds upkeep, cleaning, and hauling as designated by supervisor.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure availability and safe operation at all times.
- Become cross trained in all areas of general and skilled maintenance, thereby reducing District dependence on outside service contractors.
- Procure supplies and equipment necessary to maintain parts inventory for trade.
- District will provide an opportunity to obtain a commercial driver’s license with S and P endorsements. This is optional.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
