Great Escapes RV Resorts is a growing company specializing in acquisition, development, and management of RV Resorts throughout the United States. The Activities Lead is a vital role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities and events. Our main goal is to bring FUN to our campgrounds and provide an unforgettable experience for our guests.
The Activities Lead is a dynamic and engaging position that requires a passion for creating fun experiences. The activities Lead must have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Serve as lead for assigned activities and promote programs and exercises that are fun.
· Plan, coordinate, and implement programs, classes, and special events.
· Create weekly activity schedules and get supplies needed to the Assistant General Manager.
· Create weekly staff schedules based on activity needs.
· Create and help fulfill paid individual character experiences for our guests.
· Prepare and lead guest activities and arts & crafts.
· Perform all branded experiences consistently.
· Provide and maintain a fun, always engaging environment with all scheduled activities and promote hands-on learning through daily activities.
· Interact with guests in an upbeat, fun, and energetic manner always. When not on break, act as though you are always interacting with guests.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment during the organization, coordination, and execution of branded experiences.
· Complete cash, credit, and gift card transactions using the point-of-sale system accurately while following proper cash-handling procedures.
· Take turns dressing in the character costumes and escorting co-workers while they are in costume.
· Decorate the park to the theme of the week/weekend.
· Keep recreation facilities neat, clean, and in working order (including restroom area).

REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
· Basic computer skills
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through both verbal and written venues
· Current certifications in First Aid/CPR and AED or willingness to obtain upon hire
· Possess excellent organization skills, as well as the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Basic math skills, additions, subtraction, multiply and divide, calculate percentages, discounts, and count money
· Possess exceptional guest relations skills
· Weekend & holiday hours are required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, walking, stretching, and ability to lift/carry up to 15 pounds. Employee is exposed to outdoor weather conditions (hot and humid, rainy, extreme temperatures, airborne particles). Constant use of hands and arms to input data into the computer. Must be able to converse directly and by phone. Willingness to dress in the character mascot costumes.
