Double D Transportation is a leading construction materials and equipment transportation company operating in the greater San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento region. We are seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to be based out of our Dublin office while supporting field operations within our service regions. This position requires a highly motivated, outgoing and personable individual with the ability to make quick, decisive decisions. The ideal candidate would bring construction industry experience, excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing creative transportation solutions. As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will work closely with clients, internal team members and partnering companies to accomplish project goals.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Assist with daily operations, including dispatching, management of drivers and implementation of company and safety policies.
- Receive and set-up client orders, coordinate dispatch logistics and manage dispatch operations to assure the most efficient and profitable use of our trucking resources.
- Evaluate clients’ needs and develop creative transportation solutions to accomplish project goals.
- Communicate services, products and available resources to clients.
- Contribute to developing logistics strategies, organizing data and seek out cost saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ industry experience with measurable proven success.
- High School diploma.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with personnel of all levels, both internally and externally. Exhibit phone etiquette.
- Personable, outgoing, determined and self-motivated.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, sometimes demanding environment.
- General understanding of construction industry and transportation operations.
- Proficient in modern computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
