MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The Manchester Hotel is upscale lifestyle luxury hotel opening in the Spring of 2023, in the heart of the Distillery District of Downtown Lexington, KY. We are seeking a high energy, self-motivated individual to maintain the hotel at the highest level possible.

As a member of the properties Planning Committee, the Engineer is a highly visible role with the ability to positively affect the guest experience. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Duties Include:
- Assist, when needed, in reviewing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Requisition supplies and materials to complete engineering projects.
- Confer with Director of Operations to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and direct activities concerned with the maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs.
- Assist in inspecting and reviewing projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Experience in utility systems.
- Assist in maintaining communications with Information Technology team and resolve service interruptions.
- Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
- Assist in establishing and maintain service expectations and ensure their implementation.
- Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health and City regulations.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment while still producing a high quality product.
- Must be able to work long days when the need and season dictates.
- Must always clean up after yourself and leave the area as if we were never there.
- Ensure tools and equipment are well maintained and kept in clean working status.
- Perform daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly Preventative Maintenance.
- Daily Preventative Maintenance in rooms and Common Areas a must.

Qualifications
- Must be able to troubleshoot and formulate new directions or course of action to achieve the goal.
- Must be able to work independently, with little supervision and still complete the tasks at hand.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- 2 years or more of progressive hotel or building maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
- With opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred, but not required.
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be reliable. The Hotel is open 24/7, 365 days.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, reach, and do repetitive motions etc.. for long periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and some power tool.
- Must be able to handle heights and small spaces.
- Must be able to handle various temperature conditions
- Must be able to maintain your composure and professionalism in all stressful situations.
- Must maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
