Novarc Technologies is looking for a Welding Technologist to join our growing team and support the production of our cobots.
As a SWR Operator and Trainer you will help us further our welding robot design and support our clients. You will be designing and building parts, fitting pipes when necessary, welding using the SWR for internal R&D purposes, helping with the assembly and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), installing SWRs at customer sites, and working hand in hand with our Customer Support team to support our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist and lead installation and field support of the SWR, ensuring optimal operation and customer satisfaction.

Provide expert technical guidance and training to customer on utilizing the SWR
-
Test SWRs on the production line to ensure they meet quality and functional requirements.

Support continuous improvement in the welding operations team.

Analyze R&D Welds in partnership with the R&D/Innovation department.

Assist in-house welding projects and product development
-
Develop new weld procedures
-
Manage and order shop consumables as required
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team and Director of Welding Operations
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
-
Welding Technology Diploma, complemented by 3 - 5 years of practical experience in welding or a related technologist role

Demonstrated expertise in pipe welding/fitting, with a strong foundation in shop floor operations and field work.

Availability to adapt to flexible work shifts and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for customer support and field installations across Canada, the USA, and internationally.

Must be legally entitled to work in USA, possess a valid passport, and have a clean driving record.

Exhibits a dynamic and motivated personality, committed to continuous learning and improvement, with a professional demeanor suitable for customer-facing situations.
Schedule:

Core: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30AM
-
As we have a global client base, weekend travel to support installations or provide customer support services may be required.

Travel from 25% to 50% of the year.
