Job Summary
The Filler Operator has primary responsibility to efficiently run filling, capping, pasteurization and carbonation equipment while maintaining and documenting consistent high quality and efficiency standards as directed by Production and Quality Assurance Director.
Job Functions

Operate filling, rinsing and capping machines in a high-speed bottling environment.

Accurately complete all documents or input data into system as required for Quality Assurance information as instructed by Supervisor or Quality Assurance Department personnel.

Accurately log production data in RedZone or production paperwork.

Maintain efficiency standards and documents, timely reporting of Red Zone data using the units provided to identify specific cause(s) of lost production time, quality issues, and communicate issues in a timely manner.

Communicate with Supervisor or lead on machinery, quality and safety issues.

Coordinate with filter department on operational matters.

Coordinate and communicate with Maintenance and Quality Assurance team members on standards and machinery performance.

Participate and engage with equipment troubleshooting.

Perform machine changeovers efficiently and in a manner that promotes an effective and quality line start-up with minimal loss for different items to be run.

Participate in any production problem solving huddles, apply potential solutions, maintain machine centerline settings, perform preventive maintenance, maintain a work area in compliance with our 5-S Principles, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Train and cross-train with other machine operators as assigned by Management.
Job Qualifications
-
2 years of experience operating production equipment in a food/beverage manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility.

Experience operating high-speed packing equipment is desired.

Experience troubleshooting issues and performing preventive maintenance required.

Possess good math skills.

Must possess a strong work character and have the ability to work in a team environment.

Must be self-motivated and self-directed to support complex operations.

Critical thinking and the ability to analyze data and situations is a must. This involves being detail oriented with strong emphasis on accuracy and organization.

Must meet employment eligibility in the U.S.

Be at least 18 years of age.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Bilingual (English/Spanish).
