The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego (http://pathology.ucsd.edu) is seeking a surgical pathologists with subspecialty training and expertise in Head and Neck/Cardiothoracic Pathology to join its Division of Anatomic Pathology.
The successful candidates will have clinical responsibilities for specimens associated with robust organ transplant, general care, and cancer programs at the Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Center (the region's only NCI-designated Cancer Center), Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center and Cardiovascular Institute, Jacobs Medical Center, Hillcrest Medical Center, and the Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion at UC San Diego Health, as well as our referral/outreach/consultation programs and an expanding clinical integration network.
The successful candidates will primarily attend and sign-out on the subspecialized head, neck, and cardiothoracic pathology of the Anatomic Pathology Division, but may also sign out on the Gastrointestinal/Hepatobiliary pathology, Cytopathology, and other Anatomic Pathology services as clinically required. The teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows is also expected.
The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
