Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our New American restaurant. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of quality and service. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of our restaurant, embodying our commitment to culinary excellence and innovative American cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in service and food preparation. Manage inventory, order supplies, and oversee the maintenance of the restaurant's equipment and facilities.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage the restaurant’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Implement strategies to increase revenue and control costs.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service. Conduct performance evaluations and menu knowledge evaluations, manage scheduling, and address any staff-related issues.
- Guest Experience: Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional standards of service. Address and resolve guest complaints effectively and professionally.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement promotional activities and events. Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and the community to drive restaurant patronage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record in managing a successful and high-volume restaurant.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Excellent leadership skills with a passion for team building and employee development.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of current food and beverage trends, particularly in New American cuisine.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
