We’re currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to help lead our nursing team at Spang Crest, a Luthercare community delivering skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services in Lebanon, PA. This is an exempt-level position.

WHAT YOU DO:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at the Spang Crest Healthcare Center, you will be a key leader on our nursing team. As ADON, you will collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist in leading and supervising nursing team members and nursing operations and ensuring the highest of standards in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
You will perform a range of duties, including:
- Coordinate nursing services in conjunction with the DON in delivering quality resident care in our 24/7 skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.
- Develop and recommend standards of care and monitor compliance with rounds, periodic conferences with nursing staff, and reports. Revise and administer nursing standards in conjunction with the DON and Luthercare standards.
- Assist to maintain the nursing budget and initiate controls to minimize waste.
- In conjunction with the DON, interview, select, and evaluate nursing team members and maintain all pertinent documentation.
- Help provide essential nursing services, nursing education, and use effective communication skills.
- Manage clinical programs as directed by the DON.
- Research and address resident issues, concerns, and problems. Provide assistance and information to residents and families as appropriate while performing resident documentation as required following Luthercare’s standards. Perform nursing duties following licensure scope of practice.
- Assume on-call responsibility on a rotating schedule.
The ideal candidate for this position is a PA Registered Nurse with two years’ clinical experience as a Registered Nurse at a long-term health care services and who has demonstrated knowledge of federal/state regulations governing nursing services and medical records standards. Two years’ experience in risk management and nursing supervision is preferred.

Spang Crest is not a standalone skilled nursing facility; it is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization in southcentral Pennsylvania. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
