Job Summary
To administer influenza/pneumonia immunizations at community-based flu clinics, and maintain positive community relations.
Essential Functions

Perform flu clinic responsibilities including pre-arrangement of supplies, supervision and assistance with set up and clean up, distributing information to clients, completing documentation, and other duties as needed in a timely manner. Act as a resource for the clerical personnel and clients.

Administer Influenza/Pneumococcal vaccines. Records and dates injections for each client according to policy.

Demonstrates knowledge of safety and infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment. Adhere to universal precautions during each clinic.

Responds appropriately to adverse reactions, injuries, and other emergencies including appropriate documentation of event. Informs Flu Director immediately of any untoward events during the clinic.

Assists in record-keeping of payments and inventories and verifies accuracy of collections.
Qualifications

LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire required

LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
