John Scott House, located in Braintree, is looking for an Admissions/Resource Nurse to join their skilled nursing team! The RN/LPN Admissions/Resource Nurse supervises, implements, coordinates, and manages patient care through interpersonal contact with patients, families, nursing staff, and others in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Bane Care standards. The Admissions/Resource Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, with on-call weekend rotation (Full Time or Part Time Options)
Job Requirements for Admissions/Resource Nurse
- Experience in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing setting
- Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing as a licensed nurse
- Current registration in good standing as a licensed nurse in Massachusetts. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing throughout employment.
- Computer skills necessary to complete tasks as assigned.
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Job duties for Admissions/Resource Nurse:
- Provide hands on assessment care to patients during the admissions process
- Effectively communicate assessment findings with physician
- Knowledgeably and competently deliver quality nursing care to patients
- Evaluate patients’ needs assessment and initiate care plans upon patient admission and readmission
- Accurately receive, document, and transcribe physician orders
- Communicate orders to others timely to ensure timely receipt of medications and order implementation
- Chart appropriately and timely
- Assist with medication administration and treatment application as needed
- Take over the cart as needed
