Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Brake Operator to join our team. The Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating hydraulic press brakes to bend and shape metal components with precision according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate hydraulic press brakes to bend and form metal sheets and plates.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine bend sequences and dimensions.
- Measure and inspect completed workpieces to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings, including tooling and dies, to achieve precise bends and angles.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency and minimize waste.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling materials.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating hydraulic press brakes.
- Knowledge of sheet metal forming with a press brake
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and inspecting finished products.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Stamina to stand, bend, and operate machinery for extended periods.
