This is a Monday - Friday 8:30a to 5:30p role .
*Required: Certified Medical Certification OR Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Science, Medical, or Related Field*
Busy, state of the art Ophthalmology practice seeks a pleasant, energetic, patient friendly technician to assist them in providing quality eye care. Dependability and strong communication skills a must. Duties to include a full range of ophthalmic technical services & specialized ophthalmic testing. Medical Experience A Plus. However, we will train on the job with individuals who enjoy the medical field and a challenge!
Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally assists the doctor in patient care.
- Performing technical workups, patient histories and special diagnostic testing.
- Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care, procedures, changes in schedule and symptoms.
- Maintains and cleans all equipment being used. Report to Equipment Coordinator if not in working condition.
- Returning phone calls to patients and pharmacies in a timely manner.
- Efficiently and accurately interview patients and documents histories.
- Scribes readily when doctor desires.
