Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic plastic surgery team. As a Plastic Surgery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assisting our plastic surgeon during office visits and procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and ensuring smooth patient flow within our clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Assist plastic surgeon during consultations, examinations, and in office surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they understand the procedure and any pre-operative instructions.
- Monitor patients post-operatively and provide appropriate suture and/or drain removal, wound care, and dressing changes when necessary.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, medications, and potential complications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within our Electronic Medical Records system.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Proven experience as a nurse in a plastic surgery or dermatology setting is preferred.
- Solid understanding of plastic surgery procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
