Job Title: Receiving Coordinator

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receiving Coordinator to manage the receiving operations of purchasing equipment in our Grand Rapids, Michigan location. This role is critical in maintaining orderly operations and ensuring effective communication of issues. The Receiving Coordinator will be guided by the expectations set out in the company’s Onboarding Document, which is updated annually.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Tagging and Management: At the start of a project, ensure that the Bid Package No. 16 contractor properly tags each piece of equipment designated by the company to remain post-remodel. Monitor that these items are correctly placed within the remodel scope.
Equipment Condition Assessment: Confirm with contractors that all equipment listed on the Q sheets for reuse is present and in good condition. Initiate a tracker for any missing or damaged items.
Tracker Log Maintenance: Update and maintain the Excel fixture tracker log with each issuance and status update. Ensure this log is updated before the Weekly Meijer Progress Meeting and shared with the Quality Manager for meeting preparation.
Company’s Progress Meeting Contributions: Update the weekly meeting agenda with information such as the current count of containers and storage trailers on-site, upcoming vendor activities, and expected deliveries for the following week.
Equipment Look-Ahead: Collaborate with the fixture contractor to ensure all equipment for upcoming department builds is received and inventoried, or scheduled for receipt before the building starts.
MN-131 Process Management: Oversee the updated MN-131 process, ensuring that the fixture contractor provides MN-131 forms for assets removed or transferred. Ensure the forms are typed and uploaded to Procore as outlined in the Meijer CM Onboarding document.
Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role or in a logistics/operations environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to coordinate with various teams and manage multiple tasks.
Knowledge of project management tools like Procore is a plus.
