Job Description
The Master of Tow is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of barges and for the safety of the cargo. Responsible for safely docking and undocking ships. Responsible for the performance and safety of his/her crew, passengers, vessel, and tow and for ensuring that the equipment is kept neat, clean and in good working order.

- Master of Tow or Near Coastal (Minimum)
- TWIC
- Passport
- Eligible for DBIDS Military Base Access
- CPR/First Aid Cert
- Current Driver’s License
- Basic Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word, Google doc and sheets, etc.)
- 3-5 years’ experience
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs. without restriction. Position involves lifting, pulling ad operating heavy equipment and objects.
- Agility to bend, stoop, or squat, and climb high steps/ladders frequently.
- Physical dexterity and strength to operate deck machinery; work on equipment that is poorly accessible or in confined workspaces.
- Must be able to keep balance/equilibrium while performing duties at various heights.
- Ability to work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time.
- Adequate hearing & vision ability.
- Proper heat/cold tolerance, working in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable working while exposed to grease, dirt, paint, water, etc.
- Must be able to swim.
