Role Purpose Statement
The Human Resources Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the HR department at LSG Sky Chefs. The primary focus of this position is managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration. Additionally, the HR Assistant will support various HR functions, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Main Accountabilities
- Maintain payroll records and ensure timely submission of payroll data.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries from employees.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting related to payroll.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork and conducting orientation sessions.
- Manage offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and termination paperwork.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist in resolving any issues.
- Ensure all employee records are accurately maintained and updated in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide support in addressing employee relations issues and grievances.
- Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring employees are informed and compliant.
- Assist with the coordination of employee training and development programs.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in human resources recruiting required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, interact with all levels of management and maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
