Position Summary:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for payroll related duties in accordance with company policies and government regulations. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality. A successful Payroll Administrator is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In additiona, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:*
- Co-process multi-state semi-monthly payroll for majority of US states within strict deadlines and accuracy requirements which includes tracking employee time and attendance
- Co-process bi-weekly payroll for California with strict deadline and accuracy requirements which includes tracking employee time and attendance
- Co-process multi-province semi-monthly payroll for Canada within strict deadline and accuracy requirements which includes tracking employee time and attendance
- Set-up payroll withholding tax accounts with various state agencies in new US States/regions & Canada Provinces as needed
- Work with various State Agencies including in US & Canada to resolve taxation issues
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Process associate rents and monthly payments to the correct property
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate and confirm reports
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
- Create ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed using Paycom Reporting Tool
- Shared responsibility for processing internal billing of payroll costs on a semi-monthly basis
- Make employee changes and enter data in Paycom as needed
- Calculate and process terminations in Paycom and prepare manual termination checks in accordance with state and provincial laws
- Complete Employment Verifications
- Troubleshoot associate Paycom Portal access issues and questions
- Upload documents into Paycom cloud storage
- Research payroll questions and provide excellent customer service in a timely and positive manner
- Research Sick/PTO/Termination laws of the new states
- Actively participate in a positive team environment through teamwork, communication and excellence in service; Communicate regularly with the Human Resource Team and Payroll Team including Payroll Manger
- Actively demonstrate the values of the Weidner Customer Service Vision to team members, associates and external customers
- 5+ years’ experience processing multi-state payroll
- Experience processing Canadian payroll, preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, preferred
- Must have an understanding of end-to-end payroll processing
- Experience with Paycom, Paycom Reporting and Time & Attendance a plus
- Yardi experience preferred; Willing and able to learn new software programs
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail and processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
- Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
- Experienced in Microsoft products is a must (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

- Ability to work 5 days a week in the Kirkland Home Office
- Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
- Valid and current driver’s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
