CAFCO Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Office Engineer/Inspector to support our construction activities at Manhattan Pier A. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, document control, and field inspection, with proficiency in Procore.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Document Review: Perform daily reviews of work-in-place documentation, including inspector reports, construction plans, specifications, and contract quality requirements.

Submittal Review: Review contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents and prepare appropriate responses.

Project Monitoring: Validate contractor project schedules and budgets for on-site activities, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to schedule and budget requirements.

Document Control: Organize and maintain the flow of documents, ensuring they meet quality standards and comply with contract documents.

Meetings: Attend weekly job meetings with contractors to reconcile project progress and verify work-in-place.

Owner Liaison: Attend monthly meetings with the owner to update project progress and the value of work-in-place.

Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as needed to support project success.
MUST HAVE: B.S. Engineering, or related field, Procore, some field inspection experience and strong document control skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

4-year degree in Civil or Construction Engineering

3 years of related work experience

1 year of field inspections experience is required.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as some familiarity with marine projects.

Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong working knowledge of Procore.

Personal Time Off (PTO): Employees accrue PTO hours each week, starting with 2.31 hours per week (15 days per year) for those with less than five years of continuous service. PTO accrual increases with years of service, up to a maximum of twenty-five days per year after five years.
