Responsible for providing general information and assistance to customers upon return of their rental. Interacts with customers while scanning vehicle QR codes, checking for damage, and accurately reviewing/recording mileage and fuel data.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive and park vehicles throughout the facility
- Meet and greet customers in a friendly and timely manner
- Record accurate mileage and fuel data for every returning vehicle
- Review vehicle for damage and complete required claims paperwork (accident/incident report) in a timely and accurate manner when necessary
- Understand and communicate rental terms and conditions, vehicle features, and other services
- Provide directions and general assistance to all customers as needed (e.g. where to park their vehicle, shuttle locations and processes)
- Turn in any and all lost items
- Check vehicle status and move vehicle as needed for servicing
- Periodically may be required to assist in other operational functions (e.g. supporting the Lot/Gate operations)
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must have a positive upbeat attitude.
- Must be willing to go above and beyond for customer experience/satisfaction.
- Must have a sense of professionalism and have the ability to manage stressful or unusual situations in order to maintain good customer service.
- Ability to handle multitasking (e.g. being able to handle two or three customers at the same time while verifying information.)
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Basic level experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Office Products preferred.
- Minimum 1 year in car rental industry preferred, or relevant experience in a customer service environment.
- Must have the flexibility to work day and/or evening hours, as well as weekends/holidays.
- Ability to communicate in other languages is a plus.
