Provides administrative and clinical support to patients as delegated by health care providers. Responsible for front desk operations, patient scheduling, check in/out, collection of payments, and coverage of phone/fax lines.

Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and licensed nurses with emergency and non-emergency clinical procedures and first aid as needed.

Assist with general medical care, obtain vital signs, and report the patient's condition to the provider.

Room patients, schedule patient appointments, address phone calls, patient check in/out collection of payment and perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Perform EKG, and other office procedures as directed by the delegating provider.

Monitor health equipment in exam/treatment rooms and laboratory areas.

Performs clerical/administrative responsibilities such as filing and/or scanning patient medical records, obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information.

Maintain clinic inventory and restock as needed

Communicate with nurse and provider with on relevant patient concerns, emergencies or follow up.

Perform simple CLIA waiver laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and collection of other specimens.
Prepare specimen for transfer to an offsite lab. Record and maintain lab log and process in EMR. Participate in quality assurance projects, as well as special events and health fairs. Administer appropriate immunization per CDC guidelines and/or provider order. Confidentially transmit patient EMR to collaborative provider/facility. Follow up with patient regarding provider's treatment plan or referral. Document all correspondence in EMR. Assist with medical exams procedures. Educate patient on use of necessary medical equipment. Administer appropriate medication as delegated by ordering provider. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
18 months and 3 years experience
Requires specialized training in basic trades, principles, procedures practice, routines or techniques in a specific area or trade which might normally be acquired through up to 18 months of education or training beyond the high school level. Vocational competence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipment may be required.Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates will need to be certified.
