Job Summary
**This is a SaaS software sales and account management position.
We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing, and self-motivated SaaS sales professional to manage a portfolio of existing \customers, and to hunt and drive new business capture. The ideal candidate has a successful track record of Account Management and Sales: exceeding sales quota, loves the thrill of the hunt, and is capable of building and growing the pipeline of the business.

We are based in the Washington, D.C. area, but will consider all qualified candidates for a hybrid or remote role if the right skills are there.

The ideal candidate has a successful track record of Account Management and Sales: Keeping existing customers happy is as important as hunting for new business.
The Account Executive is the front line of our customer capture and growth strategy, focused on retaining and growing existing clients, and new customer acquisition in the State & Local government market. As a Sales Executive you will manage the sales process throughout the sales cycle including prospecting, lead management, qualification, product demonstrations, evaluation, and close. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.
Account Executive Role & Responsibilities
· Own, manage, support and develop a book of existing customers, providing education, training and account development and retention.
· Prospecting and developing opportunities via telephone outreach, outbound marketing, trade shows, email, social and cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
· Conducting virtual on-line product demos and manage prospect engagements through Zoom and Microsoft Team
· Learning and understanding the State & Local government market, and the needs / goals / challenges of target agencies
· Researching potential leads from news articles, industry events, government directories, web searches, or digital resources.
· Identifying customer needs, presenting and delivering product demos to potential clients, and answering potential client questions, offering solutions and support
· Create, execute and manage high activity prospecting plans to build and maintaining a robust opportunity pipeline
· Maintaining CRM data on customers & prospects; and effectively tracking and reporting on pipeline, opportunity and engagement progress
· Closing sales and working with client through closing process
Account Executive Requirements and Qualifications
· At least two years of SaaS sales and Account Management experience, including existing customer support, relationship management, account renewals outbound prospecting, quotas, transaction volume and activity levels (calls, demos, meetings, etc.) is preferred. You have consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory. (Experience with analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling or business intelligence is a plus.)
· College degree preferred, preferably in Communications, Business or Marketing (or comparable experience)
· Experience conducting on-line meetings, product demos and virtual customer training & support
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
· Strong consultative sales skills and proven success in new customer acquisition
· Persuasive, goal-oriented, and possessing an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
· Eager to expand our company with new sales, clients, and territories
· Self-motivated, self-directed and tenacious, with the ability to work independently or as an active member of a team. (Successful remote performance experience is a plus)
· Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently, including in a remote work environment
· Experience and proficiency in the SaaS sales process from prospecting to close
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience preferred
· (Experience selling to government is a plus)
What Your Day Looks Like
- Engage with existing customers (proactively and reactively) to provide support, training, assistance, education and account management to clients for account retention and growth.
- Research, identify, and tenaciously generate weekly new opportunities
- Methodically qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales pipeline; maintain a high volume of activity including outbound cold calls, emails, & social selling
- Consistently exceed monthly and annual sales quota
- Responsible for accurately tracking customer interactions and information
- Conduct high level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
