Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to join our team. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and leading a team of bartenders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the restaurant and hospitality industry, possess excellent leadership skills, and have a deep understanding of food and beverage preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures
- Ensure exceptional customer service by training and coaching bartenders on service standards and Supervising and supporting staff
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking supplies, and receiving deliveries
- scheduling employees and building their shift calendars to ensure that there are enough people working at the bar during its peak hours
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Create and update drink menus based on customer preferences and industry trends
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with all staff to ensure efficient beverage service
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, policies, and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in restaurant or bar management is required
- Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, mixology, and drink recipes
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing and inventory management
- Knowledge of food production processes is preferred
- Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is a plus
- English and Spanish Speaker
