Position Summary
The Benefits Analyst performs all aspects of benefit and retirement plan, reporting, administration, and auditing. This position is the main point of contact for employee questions regarding all benefits, including 401(k), medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and ancillary benefits.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Utilizes Excel, ADP reporting functions, and Concur to reconcile and pay monthly health and welfare, pension, and 401(k) bills.

Performs all benefits-related audits, including trust benefit audits, monthly employee deduction audits, 401(k) audits, weekly timecard and leave time audits, etc.

Researches and responds to employee and supervisor questions about benefits and leave of absence policies.

Partners with insurance, trust plan, and 401(k) vendors to resolve employee claims, billing, and technical issues.

Processes new and mid-year change employee benefit and retirement elections.

Manages insurance and retirement deductions and reports in ADP.

Ensures annual company-sponsored and trust plan rate increases are updated in billing files.

Coordinates benefits program education meetings throughout the year with employees and managers.

Continuously updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, attending webinars, and reading professional publications.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Benefits administration, 401(k), and benefits auditing experience

High proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Ability to absorb new information and processes quickly

Organization skills
-
Effective communication to employees and management of all levels
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration
- Knowledge of basic accounting functions

Working Conditions/Physical Effort

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
