We have an opening for a full-time position to join our team in a busy ophthalmology specialist's office for an experienced medical front desk coordinator who and serve as a front desk coordinator and take care of patient referrals . You will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service in supporting patients, making appointments checking in and checking out patients and performing insurance referrals . PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE MEDICAL OR OPTOMETRY FRONT DESK EXPERIENCE. Experience with EPIC and prior experience in ophthalmology or optometry is a plus.
Job Duties Include:
* Answering phones and triaging calls.
* Checking patients in and out, collecting patient co-pays and balances, scheduling new patient and follow-ups, obtaining insurance information , referrals, and primary care physician, and scheduling in -office procedures.
* Must be able to work in a team Environment and work independently
* Must possess a calm demeanor and an ability to adapt to change. Along w multi-tasking.
