Join our winning team as a Material Coordinator in Freeport, TX. In your role as a Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for the acquisition of materials associated with planned and marshaled work. In addition, this role may be asked to assist in Labor and Service Purchase Requisition creation.
- Ensure materials are ordered per procurement guidelines and available at job site for scheduled maintenance work
- Receive material requests from Maintenance and Operations personnel; translate into requisitions
- Source materials working within procurement contracts and guidelines (Local Sourcing Guide, AMSL, etc.)
- Assist in the creation of Labor and Service purchase requisitions
- Communicate with the appropriate Maintenance roles (i.e. Work Activity Coordinator and Planner) to coordinate material delivery for scheduled maintenance work and provide updates on the status of purchase requisition approvals
- Participate in the Shipping Material Information (SMI) process in assigned area of responsibility
- Communicate supplier performance issues
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in order processing or requisitioning materials and/or assets; experience with labor service requisitions preferred
- Experience and knowledge in maintenance materials applications or the procurement process; knowledge of maintenance labor and services preferred
- Proficiency with SAP preferred
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - - both verbal and written
- Problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to changing conditions and job priorities, and the ability to work with diverse work groups and individuals
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred; chemical industry experience preferred
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
