Job Description: Sea Dog Animal Training is seeking an experienced and reliable handyman to join our team. You will be responsible for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded skillset that includes general repair and facilities maintenance, basic electrical, basic HVAC, and basic plumbing competency. The handyman will also assist as required in small renovation and construction tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and facility inspections to identify and address issues before they become a problem.
- Resolve issues with plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or structural damage, and advise if the scope of work requires a specialist.
- General repairs including but not limited to doors, drywall, latches, light switches, outlets, broken fixtures and appliances.
- Prompt response and resolution of emergency issues.
- Maintaining a neat and clean work environment.
Schedule
- This is a part-time position with flexible hours.
- Available shifts include mornings, weekends, and holidays, and occasional afternoon or evening shifts based on the needs of the facility.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a handyman or similar role.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once and balance priorities.
- Prompt response to emergency repair needs.
- Tolerance of exposure to outdoor environments in all seasons and weather conditions.
- Ability to work in loud environments with exposure to strong smells, disinfectants, chemicals, animals, and waste.
- Ability to communicate clearly both in person and in writing.
- Accurate record keeping.
- Ability to follow rules, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
Position Qualifications
