ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a Quality Control Lab Technician , you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of our cosmetic products. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine and non-routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using a variety of analytical techniques and equipment.
- Conduct physical and chemical tests, including pH, viscosity, density, appearance, and stability testing, to assess product quality and safety of cosmetic formulations.
- Evaluate and interpret test results, identifying deviations from specifications and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Document and maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures, results and observations in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research & Development and Production, to address quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods and procedures to support product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP), FDA regulations, and other applicable standards.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:

Associates of Science degree in chemistry or related field
Experience:
- Previous experience in a quality control role within the cosmetic or personal care industry is preferred.
- Solid understanding of cosmetic formulation principles, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Detail oriented with excellent record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cosmetics (FDA, EU, etc.).
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality control processes.
- Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)
