Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who is passionate about mental health and committed to ethical practice, as well as working with the LGBTQ+ population. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, cultural competency, and a dedication to providing compassionate care to diverse populations.
Responsibilities
Client Engagement and Therapy:
- Offer counseling and support to clients, both in-person and remotely through Telehealth services.
- Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions with clients.
- Collaborate with a licensed therapist to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
Telehealth Services:
- Utilize TeleHealth platforms to offer remote therapy sessions, reaching individuals who may face geographical or mobility barriers.
- Adapt therapeutic approach to the virtual context, maintaining connection through digital communication.
Client Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
- Document session notes, treatment plans, and progress updates promptly.
Supervision and Professional Development:
- Attend weekly supervision sessions to receive guidance and support from licensed professionals.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Must be a registered MFT intern in the state of California.
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy.
- Culturally competent and open to working with diverse populations.
- Passionate about mental health and committed to ethical practice, especially with the LGBTQ+ population.
