Three Points Center has an immediate opening for a cook. This is a part-time, hourly position with an opportunity to join a growing company. Come make a difference in the lives of teenagers and families by being a key part of a program that helps facilitate true change with adopted adolescents and their families. Three Points Center provides a therapeutic atmosphere where teens can get support and guidance from youth mentors, therapists, teachers, and professional staff.
A Cook works under the direction of the Three Points Center Chef to ensure that all nutritional needs are met for the students and ensuring that delicious and nutritious meals and snacks are prepared for the staff and students
Responsibilities:
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
- Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
- Serve food
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
- Handle and store ingredients and food
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Support other kitchen staff
Requirements:
- 2 Years of cooking experience
- Pass a background check
- Professional Appearance
- Must be reliable, punctual, and goal-oriented
- Team Oriented
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must possess a current food handlers certificate (cooking certificates or degrees a plus).
- Benefits are available after 90 days of employment for full time employees.
