COMPANY OVERVIEW
· SpectronRx is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) based in Indianapolis, Indiana, with additional locations currently in South Bend, IN and new locations planned for Bunker Hill, IN, Danbury, CT and a yet to be determined west coast site. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Machine Design Engineer to join our growing company. The Sr. Machine Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing industrial equipment and machines to support the radiopharmaceutical industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Work with cross functional team to develop and maintain equipment specifications.
· Design equipment and machines to support the radiopharmaceutical industry. This will include heavy weldment fabrications and sheet metal design.
· Lead design reviews and publish meeting notes and comments.
· Maintain design data and revision control through use of a PDM. (SolidWorks PDM)
· Obtain quotes for internal and external fabricated items.
· Work with consulting companies for electronic controls and air flow/filtration as needed.
· Produce costed Bill of Materials
· Make purchase requests for external supplied parts
· Make internal fabrication requests
· Work with fabrication team on the assembly of equipment
· Lead and oversee the installation of equipment at customer locations. (Travel Required)
· Provides support to business processes, e.g., capital planning.
· Applies knowledge and best practices to make continuous improvement recommendations to drive results and provide input into best practice development.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

TRAVEL
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in SolidWorks 3D parametric design.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience designing large, fabricated machines\equipment with steel weldments and sheet metal.
· Experience with generating 2D detailed fabrication drawings.
· Extensive experience with designing for assembly and manufacturability.
· Preferred skills: electrical\controls knowledge, air flow filtration and controls.
· Comprehensive computer skills: ERP, CAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
· Ability to take minimal direction and produce positive results.
· Work independently with limited direction.
· Ability to train and be trained.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Pass a Background Check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
