Shift Details:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Area Leader ensures the delivery of quality products to all customers through a strong work ethic, close attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. This is accomplished through the accurate and timely processing of all products that must be shipped to our customers, vendors, and business partners.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead a warehouse team of approximately 20 individuals, including temporary workers when required.

Assist in developing, coaching, training, and mentoring team members.

Provide a high level of urgency and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of team work.

Lead cost reduction/containment efforts in assigned areas.

Monitor and manage the shipping schedule to ensure the timely and accurate shipment of products.

Monitor pick slips and ensure orders are being processed and shipped daily.

Complete daily and weekly quality control checks.

Lead departmental SPQDC (Safety, Productivity, Quality, Delivery, Cost) and KPI metric reviews:

Incoming shipments received within 24 hours.

Orders picked, packed, and shipped within 24-48 hours.

Manage Specialty Kitting Programs, including customer folder kitting and custom product kitting programs.

Perform root cause corrective action work.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Ensure 3S (Sort, Set in order, Shine) audits are completed.

Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Continue to optimize and improve warehouse flow, WMS (Warehouse Management System) processes, etc.

Be a culture and safety advocate.

Lead performance assessments and career progression plans for designated team members.

Active member of the Safety Team and Leadership Team.

Develop and implement a daily/weekly cycle count program.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive shipping & logistics experience.

Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Experience leading others.
-
Strong knowledge of WMS platforms and concepts.

Forklift certified, preferred.

Positive "can do" customer focus and attitude.
