Essential Functions:
The Financial Analyst must possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment, partnering with the Financial Team and non-Financial personnel. As such, the successful candidate will demonstrate capacity to fulfill the following essential functions:
- In collaboration with multiple stakeholders, work with clear and practical judgment with multiple data sources to clean, assemble, and cure data to the company standard for analysis and action
- Act as liaison and provide financial reports and analysis to various departments and members of the management team
- Review Budgets, Forecast, or any other forward-looking analysis
- Perform tasks as part of the monthly close process, including preparing or posting journal entries, preparing and monitoring various accruals, ensuring the timely analysis, preparation, and submission of close-related deliverables such as account reconciliations and variance analyses
- ·Prepare documentation of all position and various departmental level processes
- Review Inter-company expenses for completeness and capitalization
- Prepare Fuel Tax Credit support for current and prior periods, as needed
- Prepare Canadian GST Credit support for current and prior periods, as needed
- Prepare Billing documents for Rebillable Items for Spirit and Southwest Customers
- Assist in financial statement review and month end close analyses
- Evaluate bids, pricing, and analysis of operational transformation and financial growth and optimization.
- Formulate, maintain, present, and explain existing and new KPIs to a Financial and non-Financial personnel
- Report on actual financial results against targets, provide analysis of variances and assist in guidance on future trends for business line, location and contract financials
- Assemble, present, and review start-up, business optimization, and other non-recurring expenses
- Support non-Finance groups such as Sales, Billing, Collections, Bid, Accounting, and Operations with helpful analysis
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting packages to improve company performance
- Translate ideas into tangible action to help achieve critical business priorities
- Lead actions to improve or transform processes or systems to ensure they are efficient and effective on a continuous improvement basis
- Develop a broad systems knowledge and provide input by thinking from an “end-to-end” perspective that considers all users and stakeholders
- Handle confidential information in a prudent and responsible manner
- Regular, predictable attendance at job location
- Any other duties as assigned
Financial Analyst will mostly advise, consult, and coordinate with:
- Executive and Business Line Leadership
- Corporate Staff and Operations Support staff
- Bid, Sales, and Contracts leadership and staff
- Finance (FP&A) and Accounting staff
- Billing and Collections staff

Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree from an accredited university (MBA preferred)
2-5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Related Field
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Math Ability:
Ability to understand and analyze financial operations, profit and loss statements, customer invoices, and other mathematical functions necessary to complete job
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding and critical thinking skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. These applied reasoning skills must be capable of operating in an environment of uncertainty with a focus on documenting and systematizing disjoint data sets.
Computer Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Intermediate to advanced Excel is required. Exposure to SQL is a plus. Sage X3 experience is a plus.
