ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
The role of the Assistant General Manager is to support the General Manager and Saluhall Operations with ensuring all front and back of house areas are in keeping with the operational standards set out by Saluhall–ensuring constant exemplary levels of service and hospitality.
You’ll support, manage and lead the front of house team’s daily activities in accordance with Saluhall values and goals. The Assistant General Manager will exceed customer expectations, achieve profitability and promote a positive, productive and engaged work environment to deliver the world’s greatest food hall.
OPERATIONS
Partner with the General Manager in all aspects of the operations to ensure the smooth running of the business at all times including financial, and staffing targets.
Lead OSHA and food safety standards for Saluhall, as required by federal and local ordinances and guidelines
Manage front-of-house staff scheduling and labor activity
Work closely with 3rd party suppliers to ensure delivery of their Service Level Agreements
Implement and manage systems and practices to ensure a high level of on-site productivity
Manage cash handling and Saluhall operations accounting
Ensure clear communication channels between Saluhall and all key stakeholders
Work closely with the GM to manage the overall logistics of the site ensuring compliance
Manage on-site practices in line with company sustainability initiatives
Work closely with Event Operations Manager assisting with the production and execution of events and activations
PEOPLE
The main point of contact for all front-of-house team members, reporting back to GM where necessary
Consistent review and development of on-site teams, supporting their individual growth and training plans
Responsible for teams performance and knowledge levels on both food and drink ensuring a real enthusiasm for the products
Work closely with the GM and Saluhall’s internal People team on recruitment, training and compliance for members of the team
Shape and create a culture focused on Saluhall’s core values–Kind, Welcome, Driven
FINANCE
Work closely with the GM and onsite teams to ensure maximized profitability and achieve set financial targets
Post weekly schedules via 7Shifts for all front-of-house teams, working closely with Supervisors and GM
COMMUNITY
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 4 years experience in a bar/food service environment with team management experience
Excellent people skills, confident speaking with clients and traders in a consultative manner and developing long-term relations
Experience with 7Shifts, Craftable, various POS and Google Workspace
Fluent Spanish language skill
Ability to set targets and motivate the team in achieving them and reporting on progress
Positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to think laterally and willing to problem solve
Ability to communicate and conduct oneself in a clear, diplomatic and authoritative manner

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderated and controlled by facility environmental systems
Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time
Able to lift up to 25lbs. and on a regular and continuing basis
Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks
Manual dexterity required to use and operate all necessary equipment
Talking, hearing and seeing (vision) occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, Supervisors and other Employees
Has an open and flexible availability as schedules may change based on business demand
Compensation: $85,000 annually. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
