Industrial / Process / Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Develop cost estimates for new and existing products and provide quotations for customer project requests. Identify costs associated with production lines and packaging of products and warehousing for clients. Provide insights into materials, machines, manpower, methods and measurements. Identify indirect costs and rework expenses that affect the overall cost of a project.
Primary Role Functions:

Collaborate with Account managers, Operations team, vendors, and clients to gather all necessary information for cost estimating and production lead times for requests for quotes.

Apply Industrial Engineering, time study and standard data as needed for production direct cost calculations.

Identify and quantify cost factors, such as line balancing , capacities, historical performance, downtime, efficiencies, and excess costs.

Maintain systems for Item masters, BOMs and Routes set-ups.

Monitor changes in project scope and devise new estimates promptly.
Process Improvement:

Maximizing process efficiencies analyzing line layouts, equipment set-ups, workflows, assembly methods, and work force utilization.

Employ practices of 5S, Lean and TOC tools and applications.

Working with your collaborators, recommend cost-saving initiatives, analyze efficiency of production methods, equipment performance and areas for personnel improvement.
Qualifications:
-
Degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.

Experience in fundamental Industrial Engineering practices.

Experience in production or assembly line operations and line balancing.

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Attention to detail and accuracy, creative problem-solving and able to work under tight deadlines.

Ability to work well and communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
Desk and laptop, walking, standing, and perhaps light lifting.
