Fashion Accessories First, a leader in the Fashion jewelry and accessories industry, is seeking a Brand Manager to join our dynamic and creative team. The Brand Manager will be responsible for the conceptualization, research and development of FAF sub-brands and categories. The Primary focus of the Brand Manager is to pro-actively drive innovation and out-of-the-box thinking while achieving the quality, trend and value that is expected from our brands. As a member of a cross functional team this role will work closely with sales, merchandising, marketing, design and product development. The Brand Manager should be passionate ambassadors of our brands, cultivating a creative environment built of innovation, positivity & productivity.
· The Brand Manager should work independently to maintain their own workload, to prioritize and complete tasks. To work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a positive and productive manner, while retaining ownership and accountability.
Primary Focus
· Drive Innovation in product, category and brand – responsible for “big picture” thinking to push trends and new ideas
· Create road maps & other necessary tools in a pro-active and timely manner to prioritize goals and challenges
· Responsible for the complete understanding of FAF’s sub-brands and categories; able to communicate brand DNA, educate other team members as well as push innovation in brand strategy
· Oversees all brand development so that it is in line with the quality, trend & value
· Collaborate with the Merchandising Managers to create vision strategies and product development that align to corporate and customer goals & opportunities
· Assist in creating trend books & retail over views
· Publish trend recaps after award shows and red carpet events
· Actively stay up to date on social media trends that may affect our future consumer’s behavior.
· Partner with the design team to help foster ownership, development and growth
· Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
· Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion merchandising, marketing or related field. Minimum of 3-4 years in related field.
· Sophisticated sense of creativity paired with an eye for trend and fashion
· Ability to work independently, following through on all assignments from inception to execution with minimal direction
· Ability to work as part of a team and collaborating with co-workers
· Ability to give direction to design, merchandising teams to achieve necessary results
· Knowledge of what is selling and trending in the jewelry industry
· Knowledge of competitors strengths and weaknesses
· Ability to identify holes in assortments and opportunities with accounts
· Strong merchandising skills and skills in arranging product creatively
· A strong understanding and ability to translate various brands and aesthetics
· Ability to understand and interpret sales reports
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & AX system
· Strong written and verbal skills, creative writing is a plus!
· Strong organization and communication skills
· Ability to work extra hours needed to meet deadlines
