We currently have a full-time opening for a Senior Nurse Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions
- Reports on monthly trends.
- Partners with clinical and operational leaders to develop countermeasures for any variance in performance.
- Provide best practices and standards for operational execution and success criteria.
- Manages the budgeting and execution of routine capital projects as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize projects that drive throughput and efficiency.
- Oversee Quality RN to develop analysis for variance in performance.
- Effectively execute the tasks associated with assigned projects: facilitating alignment of cross-functional areas, surfacing, and resolving issues, assessing risks, conducting follow-up, coordination communication and maintaining project documentation
- Provide analytical support, including financial model development, communication of project objective and execution required for potential growth opportunities.
- Build leadership skills by overseeing center managers and associates as assigned by the Director of Nursing
- Develops written communication for the managers, to include but not limited to, correspondence, actions, program evaluations, such as access and efficiency assessments, policy statements and reports that are provided to multiple stakeholders to include internal and external associates.
- Licensure for new and maintaining CMS regulations and AAAHC standards in clinical area.
- Assist DON with on-site surveys.
- Assist with new location design and construction project
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with insurance coverage and policies of the corporation
- Ability to supervise diverse staff.
- Participates in center committees, assist and supports C.Q.I. program by overseeing that quarterly audits are complete, and statistics are being completed.
- Provide regular staff meetings/huddles to ensure consistency within the corporation.
- Acts as a liaison and resource to center staff.
- Maintains patients’ rights of privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to work with other Managers on issues effecting practice in an appropriate and productive manner.
- Ability to work with Human Resource Manager, Director of Nursing and Operations Director
- Ability to learn and perform all job responsibilities of employees to perform evaluations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to use both PC and associated software packages,
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft excel, and using reports to problem solve and track productivity
- Ability to use business equipment and machines, i.e., fax, copier, phones, postage machine, credit card machine, etc.
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
- Ability to create staff KPI, review and complete needed corrective actions as necessary.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision.
- Possess good communication skills.
- Neat appearance, professional demeanor, and pleasant voice
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Credentials and Experience
- BSN/master’s in nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current license to practice in the State of Ohio
- Minimum of three years recent and relevant clinical experience
- Responsible for maintaining current ACLS & BLS certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal relation skills
- Knowledgeable in gastroenterological/endoscopy nursing and ambulatory care – assists with accreditation, licensure, and Medicare standards and requirements.
- MS Office Products (including Word, Excel)
- Fluent in English
- MS Office Products (Visio, Access)
- Statistical software (ASA, sCS, Minitab)
Special Requirements
- Willingness to learn new tasks, be cross trained within various clinical areas, and flexibility with work patient load to help office flow.
- Flexibility in working hours; willingness to work overtime.
