We are hiring for the following engineer positions:
*Engineering Technician*
Salary Range: $48,389 - $77,907
The purpose of this role is to provide engineering support for construction and maintenance projects and general operations in various County departments, utilizing engineering principles related to wide variety of fields, such as traffic engineering, landscape architecture, land development, hydrology, erosion control, computer-aided design, construction inspection, and geometric surveying.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field required; three years of experience in surveying, drafting and sub-professional civil engineering related work; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
*Engineer Review Officer*
Salary Range: $54,927 - $88,433
The purpose of this role is to review residential and commercial land development permits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, policies, rules, regulations, and standards.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field required; two years of experience in building design and construction, plans review, or a related field.
*Engineer*
Salary Range: $62,397 - $100,460
The purpose of this role is to perform professional civil engineering tasks in support of capital projects, plan review, and other infrastructure construction and maintenance projects; and the types of projects and work assignments will vary depending upon assigned department.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline required; two years of experience in civil engineering; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
*Engineer, Senior*
$69,870 - $112,491
The purpose of this role is to perform professional civil engineering tasks in support of capital projects, plan review, and other infrastructure construction and maintenance projects, with an emphasis on formulating conceptual designs and resolving engineering problems; and the types of projects and work assignments will vary depending upon assigned department.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline required; four years of civil engineering experience; status as an Engineer-in-Training preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
*Engineer Plan Review Manager*
$73,608 - $118,509
The purpose of this classification is to manage and direct operations and staff involved in land development, permitting, plans review, and code enforcement for public and private construction projects.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required; five years of experience in engineering, architecture, construction inspection or permitting to include lead or supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Specific License or Certification Required: Professional Engineer Certification (Civil preferred); Level I GSWCC Certification within 6 months of employment and Level II GSWCC Design Certification within 12 months of employment. Professional Hydrologist Certification desired.
