Overview:
AEPartners are seeking dedicated and experienced Well Test Assistants to join our team in Anchorage, AK. The ideal candidates will have previous experience working on the North Slope and possess the necessary qualifications to assist in the execution of well testing operations. These positions offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects while working in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of well testing operations according to established procedures and safety protocols.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of well testing equipment, including pressure gauges, flow meters, and data acquisition systems.
- Monitor well testing processes and equipment performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure accurate data collection.
- Collaborate with the Well Test Supervisor and team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of well testing equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of well test data, including pressure and flow rate measurements, and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in well testing operations.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and drills to maintain awareness of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to coordinate work activities and achieve project objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of well testing operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in oilfield operations is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in well testing or related field operations, with specific experience on the North Slope preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of well testing equipment and procedures, including pressure testing, flowback operations, and data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards governing well testing operations, including API standards and state/federal regulations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required; willingness to travel and work on remote job sites as needed.
