Working in demanding environments for over 30 years We are a growing construction firm in the Mid-Atlantic region that is looking to grow our Safety team. We are looking for a driven, dynamic safety professional that displays solid time management to ensure deadlines are met, safety requirements are enforced, and jobs are completed safely.
Construction Safety Officer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Continuous inspection of project sites, to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Assessment and approval of in house and subcontractor safety plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, preparing construction health and safety plans.
- Inspection of tools and safety equipment to ensure it complies with all safety standards.
- Creating and enforcing safety guidelines and programs.
- Conduct investigations on incidents. To be the first responder and direct liaison with all parties if an incident were to occur.
- Verifying that all safety reports are submitted to related government institutions.
- Manages all communications with government departments in regards of safety.
- Arranges OSHA-mandated evaluations of the site.
- Attending project planning meetings and collaborating with project managers.
- Continuous monitoring of all safety related documents, reports, and issues to keep them updated and properly tracked.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure all employees are properly certified and trained.
- Manage regular safety meetings throughout all organizational groups.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Experience:
- OSHA: 2 years (Required)
- Heavy Construction: 1 year (Required)
- EHS: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Gambrills, MD 21054: Relocate before starting work (Required)
