Job Overview: We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front of House Team Member. As a member of our front of house staff, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the establishment
- Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions or concerns
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to customers' tables
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and resolve them promptly
- Process payments using the POS system or other point-of-sale systems
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Upsell additional items or promotions to increase sales
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Proficiency in basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Sales-oriented mindset to promote menu items and increase revenue
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for inventory management and pricing strategies
- Experience using POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Culinary background or knowledge of kitchen operations is beneficial but not required
