Summary:
The Robotics Application Technician will play a strategic role in driving the development of robotic material removal processes for customers in support of the sales engineering team. This includes developing and executing customer robotic demonstrations, conducting robotic training sessions, producing robotic social media content, and driving continuous improvement in the robotic lab.
Responsibilities:
- Play a strategic role in driving the development of robotic material removal processes
- Coordinate demo projects directly with customer
- Plan, develop and run customer demos to showcase robotic material removal processes using PushCorp equipment
- Tailor demos to meet customer needs and requirements
- Coordinate customer visit and provide final technical report
- Ensure the lab is equipped and setup for demonstrations and product testing
- Conduct training sessions on robotic material removal for customers and internal teams
- Assist in the creation of product training plans for trainers, territory managers and customers
- Provide technical support to customers to assist PushCorp sales/application engineering team
- Collaborate to develop marketing content such as application videos and prepare robotic booths for tradeshows
- Support sales activities at tradeshows
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Experience with industrial robot programming
- Industrial controls background (PLC, servo-amplifier, field bus, DC motors, etc.)
- Technical skills and interest in industrial manufacturing
- Willing to learn about abrasive process development (Training done internally)
- Hands-on self-starter and manually skilled
- Critical problem solver and strong process development
- Results oriented, meeting deadlines and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Organized and meticulous
- Excellent communication and presentation skills on technical topics
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Occasional travel is required (less than 10%)
Experience and Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or related to Industrial Automation field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial robot automation
