We are looking for a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, and/ or PMHNP to join our team. We are also interested in master’s level graduates who are associate licensure eligible (MFT-A, PA).

At AKMFT your role would be to:
- Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy to clients using the specific Humanistic models listed above.
- Diagnose and write therapeutic notes in accordance with clinic guidelines.
- Participate in clinic wide treatment team meetings to discuss cases and improve skills.
- Attend clinic provided trainings to improve therapeutic skills and capabilities.

Required qualifications for this position include:
- Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or a related mental health degree. If you are a student who will graduate with a degree soon, please apply! If you have talent and drive, we want you on board regardless of experience.
- One of the following State of Alaska licenses: LMFT, MFT-A, Psychologist, or Psychological Associate. We are willing to take someone who is working on obtaining their license, post graduate earning hours for permanent license. If you don’t have a license, we would be happy to help you obtain one.
- Experience with or desire to learn and practice Emotionally Focused Therapy.
- Ability to establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of clients and families.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of mental health counseling and techniques of observing and assessing behavior.
- Willingness to learn and develop self.
